The Standard Activated Carbon Block filters are made of fine coconut shell carbon, which removes odors, undesirable colors, and unpleasant tastes of many organic compounds. These filters also effectively remove chemicals like iron, manganese, chlorine, and hydrogen sulfide from your water. By removing these unwanted byproducts, you can be assured of accessing fresh and clean water. Since these filters are made of finely packed carbon (forming a cylinder block), they offer much finer filtration of suspended particles and dirt.
